Debbie The Glass Lady

A Decorative Chalice or a Pimp Cup?

What do you purchase for someone that has everything?

Shotglass-Cup-and-Blinged-Bucket.jpgDebbie The Glass Lady, a.k.a. Debbie Harrison, has been glassblowing handmade, one-of-a-kind cups for over 30 years. Taught the art by her mother, Debbie is a master craftswoman who has been icing her creations since 1999. Her chalices, hand-baked at over 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit, can include almost any design or precious metal including 24-karat gold, silver, platinum, gems, and even diamonds. Her trade is not a trend; it is art on glass. Prices start at $100 and go up… way up. “I’m still waiting for my million dollar order,” proclaims Debbie. “We are all kings and queens and we should be blinged out.” You got a dog? She’ll even make a “puppy cup.”

Lil-Jon-Crunk-Cups.jpgDebbie is the pioneer who founded the niche industry of pimp cups—now unfortunately overrun by impostors and shysters. In our conversation, I found out she’s been duped by former managers and advisers. Yet she still bellows with unbridled enthusiasm… and you will too when you call her up. Not sure if I’ve violated some journalistic standards, but she now has her own spartan site—compliments of Mister Archer. Her wares are expensive, but she’s promised to offer my friends the “Archer” Special. Oh, and plan on using Western Union for upfront payment.

CHUCH. Can’t Hate U Can’t Hate.
