Southern BBQ and Late Night Drinks
Is there a stimulus package better than Jägerbombs?
Ghirardelli Square is no longer only for tourists. The Pub has just opened their doors in the spot formerly occupied by O’Neill’s. This new BBQ joint features a Southern Special of the Day along with savory staples including BBQ ribs, pulled pork sandwiches, and jambalaya with a Cajun kick. Given the dearth of quality late night options in San Francisco, the Pub is serving piping hot food until 1:30am… even nearby In-N-Out Burger has shut off its grill.
The troika of owners, who cut their teeth at Aces in the Tendernob and the Bell Tower in Russian Hill, have maintained their edge while elevating the ambiance. This speakeasy’s vaulted ceilings, reaching chandeliers, dark wood and red velvety feel are quite inviting… sure, why not tip back another one. Happy Hour here lasts not for an hour or hours but the entire day. $3 Bud Lights. Throttle Up! For the warriors, the standalone Red Bull fridge with countless bottles of Jägermeister beckon.
And hope you see Norbert Yancey on the corner strumming his guitar and busting rhymes.
Till next time!
