The Overnight Success

Date tomorrow? Get your beauty rest.
Big decision? Sleep on it.
Sage advice… unless you can’t fall asleep. Yup, the most important battery to recharge at night ain’t your cell phone. It’s you!
reBloom is a beauty sleep drink designed for you to look and perform your best…
You Ready For Some FĂștbol?

Sure, you could watch the World Cup matches on your laptop. But that'd be like signing up to bring the half-time snacks for youth sports, and instead of the traditional oranges, you'd be bringing prunes.
The real scene for the World's Super Bowl will be at a few local spots. Just be sure to know to root for… or root against if you're at an Irish pub…
A Toast to the Barbary Coast

Long day at the office? Instead of simply punching out, now you can hang up the spurs and mosey on over to the Comstock Saloon, opening tomorrow in North Beach.
This throwback cantina is a tip of the hat to the days when gunslingers took swigs of tarantula juice and dined on hearty pot pies. Comstock retained the century-old single plank, mahogany bar along with…
Friday: Champagne for my Real Friends.
A fashion fixture in San Francisco for almost fifty years, Wilkes Bashford previews their fall 2010 collection starting tomorrow. WB has long been a favorite of the SF cognoscenti… former Mayor Willie Brown once revealed that if Wilkes Bashford were to ever close he would “have no other place in town to buy clothes.” The City's First Lady, Jennifer Siebel Newsom will host a champagne reception this Friday from 11am – 2pm introducing one of her favorite designer, Behnaz Sarafpour. Also this weekend, peruse the newly-threaded Michael Kors' collection of men’s suits and outerwear. Swing on by for a sneak (out of work) peak.
Is it ever okay for a 101-year-old to get a facelift?
The Roxie, San Francisco's oldest continually operating theater, just completed her renovation. She's still a classic beauty, but now she radiates with her restored veneer. Located in the heart of the Mission at 16th Street and Valencia, the Roxie is one of the only movie houses featuring a Peerless Magnarc projector. Nope, they don't make 'em like they used to… most movie buffs believe that the carbon arc lamphouses produce a superior picture with warmer and truer colors. And now the bass is bumping like a lowrider in a Dr. Dre video—Pixar Studios and the Community Futures Collective donated a state-of-the-art THX Dolby Surround system with 16 digital speakers and a couple subwoofers.

They say you can't judge a book by its cover... but that was long before there was the magical Kindle 2 which absolutely requires a cover for safety and style.
The Kindle 2 might not have come into this world naked... but pretty darn close. Amazon's prepackaged cover would've been great for a hotel pad of paper and a pen. But job numero uno for a cover is safety. (safety never takes a holiday.) So for a $300+ device, I require a durable cover that will protect my Kindle if I accidentally gravity test it.
The Bobarra Thoreau cover has 4 elastic bands securely latching my Kindle into the cover. Thoreau once said that “books are the carriers of civilization.” But when civilization needs to carry their book, they don't want to be worried about dropping them. For someone who is always running around, I sincerely appreciate the safety of the Thoreau.
But I'm not one to compromise on style. I love the sleek brown leather with fastidious stitching around the edges... professional and cool—I've gotten a few inquiries about where I purchased this cover while riding the bus around town.
Overall, I am very happy with my Kindle 2 and love my Thoreau cover.
